I am a counsellor and psychotherapist using Transactional Analysis (TA).
TA is a humanistic theory that provides a model to understand our personalities, relationships and communication patterns.
It respects that all of us have inherent worth, the ability to change and that we are ultimately responsible for our own thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
Understanding how our past sometimes holds us back from ‘Living fully’ in the present can free us to be the person we want to be and were born to be!
As a practitioner I am bound by explicit codes of ethical behaviour and professional practice. I have completed a 5 year clinical training programme at the Berne Institute in Derbyshire. I am a council member of the Institute of Transactional Analysis (ITA), the professional body that sets the standards of competence and ethical practice for Transactional Analysts.
The ITA is affiliated to the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA) and is a member organisation of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)
